The Membership of the Belvedere Club and Belvedere Golf Club have established a Fund with the Charlevoix County Community Foundation to provide scholarship opportunities for our loyal employees and their families. Since the Fund’s inception in 1997, over $120,000 have been awarded to deserving young people.
This year’s new awardees for the 2003/4 academic year are:
- David Shearer - Northern Kentucky University - $3000 per year for 4 years
- Laura Potter - Michigan State University - $1800 per year for 3 years
- Kate Madison - Hope College - $1500 per year for 3 years
- Elissa Wood - University of Michigan - $1500 per year for 3 years
The following students are also currently receiving continuing scholarships:
- Lindsey Carland - Michigan State University
- Shannon Nystrom - Alma College
- Abby Schaperkotter - Grand Valley State University
- Ryan Rafacz - Western Michigan University
- Julia Serrels - Western Michigan University
- Kyle Leese - Lake Superior State University
- Jeffrey Popenhagen, Jr. - Olivet Nazarene
